But in a certain light it is not difficult to interpret the marks around the figure’s brow as a crown of thorns.

'Lucky' bible found by soldier on Western Front reunited with owner's family 94 years on

A 'lucky' bible found on the battlefields of the Western Front by a British soldier has been reunited with the family of its original owner 94 years on.

The mud-encrusted bible was dropped by New Zealander Richard Cook as he came under fire during the bloody Battle of Messines in Belgium in June 1917.

Jesus crucifixion nails 'found'

Two of the nails used to crucify Jesus have been dsicovered in a 2,000-year-old tomb, according to a new film. The film, 'The Nails of the Cross' by Simcha Jacobovici, follows three years of research during which he presents his assertions - some based on empirical data, others requiring much imagination and a leap of faith.
